1. I would use the eventual isks to fund my first carrier.
2. I still remember the first days in EvE. I looked at all the things, all the ships, and all the modules that existed. I remember asking one of my first friends what the biggest and coolest ship was. I got the answer that Titans are the biggest and coolest around. I looked at the Minmatar one, and thought the description was soo cool.
Back then, no Titan had been built yet, so they were nothing but whispers and dreams still. Anyhow I played some more and a dream for a carrier awakened. Now, many years later. I have isks so that I can manage myself, I have some ships. But for some reason, I never got me that carrier. I focused on the smaller ships. Cruisers, Hacs etc. Somehow Im simply not getting one. I just seem to always be out of that extra isks that would finance a carrier.
3. Waaay back, I started mining for my first battleship. I had finally decided to go for a Typhoon, and not the Tempest. And I was mining omber in Emolgranlan. I had a scythe, that had a bonus to Miners. I slowly chopped away at the asteroids. Since I only had one char, I had to haul with it as well, and when I filled a can as much as a hoarder could take, I warped back to station switched into my industrial and went back to belt. One day, when I came back to the belt, my can was yellow. And someone else was near it. I remember thinking it was weird, but it had the same name that my can did, and I really needed the minerals, so I opened it and my hoarder died. I was sooo furious and angry. I felt tricked and deceived. But a lesson well learnt.
4. *Never ever open yellow cans. They are not yours and you will get tricked.
*Always update your clone. You never know when you will do something hasty and you end up losing SP.
*Never ever ever fly something you cant afford to lose. Im not saying you must have the exact sum of the ship in your wallet, but you should be able to lose the ship and replace it within a month, and without having to sacrifice too much.
*If its too good to be true, it generally is. People will try and fool you with all they got.
*And my last advice. Trust people. Because without friends, EvE is nothing. Be careful and think twice, but if they prove to be friends, let them be friends. I always thought, if a friend runs away with isks, the isks isnt the problem, the problem is that I lose a friend.
